Math by Music began almost 15 years ago, formally known as Mr. Smith’s Musical Math for Children. As an elementary school teacher, Mr. Smith was dedicated to the success of his students. With his creative mind and strong passion for education, he created several methods for children to learn math, reading, and art. With his extensive background in music, Mr. Smith implemented these methods into fun and catchy songs for children. Today, Mr. Smith’s program is known as Math by Music, teaching kids that math is just as easy as learning the ABC’s.

Mr. Smith’s passionate and enthusiastic personality has always created an exciting atmosphere in the classroom. On other occasions, he has brought this same excitement to his seminars and workshops across the country. At these events, Mr. Smith presented to Universities, School Districts, as well as State and National Conventions. He has introduced his programs to parents, teachers, and administrators all over the nation. 

E.R.I.C., a national government educational organization, has specifically sought out Mr. Smith’s Musical Math Program to be used for all national rural and migrant educational institutions. Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah has also recognized Mr. Smith’s math program like other organizations have. In fact, BYU had named Mr. Smith an instructor offering BYU credit for his seminars and service workshops. Mr. Smith’s Musical Math for Children has also been accepted and approved by the board of review from Parent’s Magazine.

For years, Mr. Smith has made lives change as a songwriter, elementary school teacher, storyteller, and national public orator. He has had extensive experience teaching kindergarten through third grade over his years of teaching. Mr. Smith is a highly qualified educator, and children truly enjoy learning with his program.
